Step-by-Step Application Process

The application is a multi-step online process on the official Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) application portal.

Step 1: Visit the Official Portal

1. Go to the official Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) application portal, which is typically rrbapply.gov.in, or the website of your respective regional RRB.

2. Look for the link related to CEN 07/2025 (Undergraduate/12th Level Posts) and click on it.

Step 2: Create an Account (New Registration)

1. Click on the “Create Account” or “New Registration” link.

2. Fill in the basic required details such as:

   • Name

   • Date of Birth

   • Aadhar Card Number

   • Father’s Name

   • Mother’s Name

   • Valid and active Mobile Number and Email ID (essential for all future communication).

3. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number and email ID for verification.

4. After successful verification, a Registration Number will be generated and sent to you. Note this down carefully.

Step 3: Fill the Application Form (Part I)

1. Log in to the portal using your Registration Number and Password (which is usually your Date of Birth).

2. Fill in the detailed application form, which is typically divided into two parts:

   • Personal and Category Details: Enter your gender, religion, category (UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS), status (Ex-Serviceman, PwBD, etc.).

   • Educational Qualifications: Enter details of your 12th standard or equivalent qualification. Ensure all educational details are accurate.

Step 4: Pay the Application Fee

1. Proceed to the payment section.

2. The application fee is generally:

   • Rs. 500/- for General/OBC/EWS candidates.

   • Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen/Female/Transgender/Minorities/EBC candidates.

3. Pay the fee online using a Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.

   • Note: A portion of the fee (Rs. 400 for General/OBC/EWS and the full Rs. 250 for reserved categories) is refundable after you appear in the first stage CBT. You will need to provide your Bank Account details for this refund.

Step 5: Fill the Application Form (Part II) & Upload Documents

1. Select RRB and Post Preference: Choose the specific Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) you want to apply to and indicate your priority/preference for the various 12th-level posts (e.g., Junior Clerk Cum Typist, Accounts Clerk Cum Typist, Trains Clerk, etc.).

2. Upload Documents: Upload your recent photograph and signature as per the specified dimensions and size:

   • Photograph: Recent passport-size color photo. Dimensions usually around 35mm x 45mm. File size typically 30 KB to 70 KB in JPG/JPEG format. Some notifications require a photo captured via live webcam.

   • Signature: Scanned signature on white paper with black/blue pen. Dimensions around 50mm x 20mm. File size typically 30 KB to 70 KB in JPG/JPEG format.

3. Upload any other required documents like the Caste Certificate (if applicable).

Step 6: Final Submission and Printout

1. Review: Carefully check all the details filled in the application form before final submission, as corrections are often limited or charged extra.

2. Read the declaration and check the ‘I Agree’ box.

3. Click the Submit button.

4. Download and print the final submitted application form for your record.
